Community Giving

Volunteer

We cannot begin to express the value of our volunteers. Without our volunteers and partners, ELC ceases to exist.

Even with the ELC support for our partner organizations, our partners and their volunteers are struggling to meet community needs. And you can help.

Our community workshops and abroad teaching programs barely scratch the surface of community needs. Passionate students, partners, and professionals are always needed to bring equal opportunity programs to communities in need, both domestic and abroad.

All of our volunteers shall be Certified for the President's Volunteer Service Awards through our partner (P)ALS.

Students & Professionals

Organizations that accept 7th to 8th grade volunteers are PacificSTEM (community STEM outreach organization) and Gift of Love (charitable organization for in-need communities).

If you are interested in volunteering, there is a myriad of different ways and groups you can gift your talents. Please complete this form to get more information about partner volunteer opportunities near you.
ELC also hosts community events and aid that require volunteers. Join our volunteer mailing list to get updates!

If you are interested in teaching, please be advised that a thorough assessment and training will take place.

There are two ways to volunteer as a teacher: first, as a community workshop instructor; second, as a summer volunteer with us in developing countries.

If you wish to propose a free community workshop topic, please send us your resume and a preliminary curriculum to elcdocents@gmail.com, subject title "Workshop Proposal".

To volunteer teach in developing countries, please complete our Volunteer Form.

ELC student volunteers (7th grade through College) have the opportunity to opt into the leadership network and certification programs.

Minimum age of our volunteers is 12.

To join our volunteer mailing list, please complete the Volunteer Form and check the "Join Volunteer List" option.

Please be advised that although we are always in need of volunteers, we must vet all our volunteers prior to accepting them into our Volunteer List.

As such, the vetting process may take up to 6 weeks during our particularly busy periods.

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.
